Observance for September 11th

: On Sunday September 11th, 2011, everyone needs to display the flag of these United States of America!!! On Sunday, September 11th, 2011, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States . Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this tenth anniversary of one of our country's worst tragedies. We do this to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms. In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds.

I have 23 years of home repair experience, 4 years in construction, 17 years with rental and the latest 2 years with a bigbox home improvement center. Don't let that discourage you, if you dont have experience. In my opinion if you take your time do a little research you can handle most home repairs. Here is a few things to do over the weekend. It;s the little things that stand out.

3 things to improve the look of your home

Why not change your door knobs. paint your doors and trim.Very easy. Go ahead. Go to your local hardware store. ,Pick some new fresh looking knobs., paint for doors and paint for the door trim. Maybe something a little fancy for the knobs. On the door knob package it should read hall & closet, bedroom and bedroom. Don' forget the exterial doors.Follow the directions that come with the knobs. All you'll need is a screw driver. See so far not that hard.Take your time and change those knobs.
1. Paintyour doors, with a screw driver take off the door knobs , tape up the hinges and paint away.
2. Start painting the trim around the door and door jamb. So far looking good

Remembering 9/11

Most of us remember were we were or what we were  doing on that clear September day. I remember walking in at my place of employment. At the base of the steps a co-worker told me that a plane just hit the towers. I remember walking to the top of the steps and saw everyone looking a their pc's with a dis-belief look on their faces. I remember wife calling saying she worry about the our kids at school. I remember how emotions ran . I remember thinking about my 6 year old twin boys. I remember thinking of my wife,my family and friends. I remember the heroes.I remember getting in a circle at work and someone saying a pray. Most of all I remember how we all pulled together, one nation under God as Americans. Never forget, never.
